We will be present at a great event (conference & workshops) about digital identity and online reputation, held in Geneva (Switzerland) on December 11th. All sessions will be held in French (by the way, the original event name is Identité numérique et réputation en ligne: de l'évolution à l'action). This event is co-organized by Dynamia and Romanding.ch.
With proliferation of exchange platforms, blogs and social networks, as well as development of content sharing and collaboration tools, new problematics as authentication, confidentiality and privacy become more urgent. In an attempt to resolve these problems a number of tools for managing digital identity were developed, each with pros and cons, creating some confusion among users. Recently, the OpenID system is increasingly being adopted. Is it, however, the long-awaited solution?
The interest for digital identity is not only in the solutions it provides to various problems, but also in the potential it brings to products and services to go beyond the isolated islets.
The reputation online, as well as digital identity, is the center of attention. Each time one makes a contribution on the web, it is a brick added to his/her reputation. The Internet users and our customers also contribute by writing about us, about our products and services. How to manage our own reputation ? How to know the others' reputation ?
The conference will focus at first on the rise of digital identity and online reputation online and will help to better understand the problems and challenges. It will be followed by workshops.
Our Chief Research Officer, Dr Jean-Marc Seigneur, will be the first speaker (From Digital Identity to Relationships and Reputation) and will lead a workshop (Using Reputation Management Tools, including Venyo).
Feel free to join us !
